Zeno van den Broek – Shift Symm at Gaudeamus

An evening devoted entirely to the newest music in all its manifestations: overwhelmimg soundscapes, wrenching minimal music, experimental electronics, post-pop, you name it! During Saturday Night you’ll experience new sounds and discover the latest developments on the music scene.

With its many different halls, TivoliVredenburg is the perfect location for presenting this spectacular and broad range of music. We begin Saturday Night with the incredible ensemble Insomnio from Utrecht. They’ve been bringing the house down for the past 20(!) years with their virtuoso and infectious playing. They open the Saturday evening of the Festival with special compositions by the high-profile composer and music theatre maker Heiner Goebbels.

We then challenge you with a route following the frontiers and fringes of (live) electronics with Zeno van de Broek, friendly Indie-classical by Van Dryver, or expressive Industrial and Raw Techno from SØS Gunver Ryberg from Denmark. Let yourself be blown away by an evening full of young music-makers who with different ingredients manage to create a style all their own.
